Arsenal have allegedly began negotiations to sign Wolves midfielder Ruben Neves this summer.
Arsenal could do with roster changes after a tough season, with midfield in particular in need of reinforcement after the expiry of Dani Ceballos’ two-year loan from Real Madrid.
Neves seems to be the perfect candidate to bolster Arsenal’s attacking options, and the Times reports that the north London giants are now negotiating a deal for the Portugal international.
According to the report, Wolves have made Neves available this summer, which means Arsenal might be in line to complete the deal if they can come up with an acceptable offer.
The Athletic previously reported that Neves may leave Molineux for £35 million this summer, and that seems to be the price Arsenal are expecting to pay, according to the Times.
Neves has been a revelation in the Premier League, and recent transfer reports suggesting he may be available have Manchester United supporters pleading with their team to sign him.
The 24-year-old seems to be capable of playing for a larger club, and it would be surprising if Arsenal did not face increased competition for his signing given his apparent availability at such a cheap price.
