According to respected writer James Benge, Arsenal are pondering a deal for Hakan Calhanoglu in order to boost their offensive options.
Calhanoglu is due to become a free agent at the end of June, since his contract with AC Milan ends and he has yet to negotiate a new agreement.
Last season, the 27-year-old was a regular starter for Milan, scoring four goals in 33 games to help the club finish second in Serie A.
Calhanoglu, along with experienced striker Zlatan Ibrahimovic, was instrumental in Milan qualifying for the Champions League for the first time since the 2013/14 season.
Arsenal are now in disarray after their eighth-place finish in the Premier League and failure to qualify for the Europa League last season.
The Gunners now play at a mid-table level and will need to make some savvy additions to their roster this summer.
Calhanoglu is in the prime of his career and may be an excellent addition to the Arsenal squad.
However, other clubs will be keeping an eye on the Turk’s performance in the forthcoming European Championships.
