Sir Alex Ferguson has lauded Jadon Sancho, a Manchester United transfer target.
Sancho is widely considered as one of the world’s most talented young wingers. At the age of 21, he has dominated the Bundesliga, establishing himself as a vital component of Borussia Dortmund’s assault.
The Manchester Evening News revealed a few weeks ago that Sancho is closing close on a transfer to Old Trafford, with all sides now optimistic of a deal being completed.
All indications point to the England international joining Manchester United, and the deal has now been approved by Sir Alex Ferguson, much to the joy of the supporters.
Fergie granted an exclusive interview to German magazine SportBild, which Sport Witness transcribes and translates into English. As the Manchester United legend put it:
“I believe a lot of Jadon Sancho is extremely dangerous in one-on-one duels, as an assister and scorer. He has so much potential that he benefits the squad. That is why he will be an asset to England throughout the tournament.”
If Man United needed any more incentive to get Sancho through the door, this should enough. Fergie seldom got it wrong when it came to transfers during his tenure in the Old Trafford dugout.
