Manchester United were beaten by Young Boys in interruption time in their opening Champions League game of the season, a bitter tablet to swallow after Cristiano Ronaldo had actually given the visitors an early lead at the Wankdorf Stadium in Switzerland’s capital. But the game hinged on Aaron Wan-Bissaka’s termination in the first half, with Young Boys making their man benefit count, returning on level terms and ultimately sealing a comeback win when Jesse Lingard accidentally talented Jordan Siebatcheu a 95th minute winner.
It was particularly disappointing for United as it had all began so well … It simply needed to be him, didn’t it!?
