Arsenal midfielder Declan Rice has expressed his delight at the return of Thomas Partey, stating that it has made a significant impact on the team. Rice’s comments came after Arsenal’s victory over Bournemouth.
“It’s massive,” Rice said. “The prospect of playing with Thomas, he’s been injured all season, and I’ve been so excited for his return.”
According to Rice, Partey’s presence on the field has been evident in the difference he makes. “He’s so calm on the ball and does these body feints that create so much space,” Rice explained.
Rice also highlighted the positive effect Partey’s return has had on his own game. “With him sitting there, it allows me to go forward more,” Rice said. “You can see that with my goal and assist. The goal came so late in the game, I thought I might as well shoot, and it went in.”
Rice also spoke highly of his new teammate Martin Odegaard, praising their chemistry on the pitch. “I knew the type of players I was coming to play with,” Rice said. “Martin has been great. It’s like one big family in there.”
