Sheffield United have put Anel Ahmedhodzic up for sale, according to reports from The Sun’s Alan Nixon. The club is looking to offload several players this summer, including Ahmedhodzic, midfielders Vinicius Souza and Anis Slimane, as well as Bénie Traoré.
Ahmedhodzic, who was previously linked with Atalanta and Napoli in January, had a price tag of £20 million at that time. However, it remains to be seen how much Sheffield United will demand for the young defender now.
As for Traoré, he joined Sheffield United from BK Häcken last summer but has struggled to find his footing at the club. In an attempt to gain more playing time, the 21-year-old was loaned out to French side FC Nantes during the winter transfer window. Despite his difficulties, Traoré still has a contract with Sheffield United that runs until the summer of 2027.
It seems that Sheffield United are keen to make changes to their squad ahead of the upcoming season. With Ahmedhodzic and Traoré potentially on their way out, the club will be looking to secure suitable replacements to bolster their ranks.
