Cameroon vs Morocco: Prediction, Betting Tips, Team News, Key Facts

In a heavyweight AFCON quarter-final clash, Morocco will face Cameroon in Rabat on Friday night.

Cameroon started their AFCON journey with a 1-0 win against Gabon and followed it up with a thrilling 2-1 victory against South Africa. They will be looking to upset the host nation, although they suffered a 4-0 defeat the last time they faced Morocco in February 2021.

Cameroon will be without Lorient defender Darlin Yongwa due to injury, while Vincent Aboubakar and Eric Maxim Choupo-Moting are not part of the squad. Manchester United’s Bryan Mbeumo and Brighton’s Carlos Baleba will be key players for Cameroon.

Morocco, on the other hand, finished at the top of Group A and secured a 1-0 win against Tanzania in the knockout stage. They have a strong defensive record, conceding just one goal in the tournament so far. Real Madrid’s Brahim Diaz and PSG’s Achraf Hakimi will lead the charge for Morocco.

Morocco will be without Girona midfielder Azzedine Ounahi due to injury, while Fenerbahce striker Youssef En Nesyri may start on the bench.

In their previous meeting in February 2021, Morocco defeated Cameroon 4-0. Both teams are unbeaten in their AFCON appearances, with Morocco having a strong defensive record at home.

Morocco are favorites to win and under 4.5 goals are expected in the match. The best odds are 19/20 with Luckster.
