Man Utd aim to retain Kobbie Mainoo and Joshua Zirkzee

Manchester United boss Ruben Amorim is determined to hold onto Kobbie Mainoo and Joshua Zirkzee, as reported by Fabrizio Romano.

Despite Mainoo and Zirkzee expressing their desire to leave Old Trafford in the upcoming January transfer window, Amorim is adamant about keeping them within his squad.

Speaking on his YouTube channel, Romano stated, “Mainoo and Zirkzee are eager for more playing time, but Ruben Amorim is insistent on retaining them due to the busy schedule ahead. Amorim wants a deep squad for the second half of the season.”

Romano also mentioned potential interest from Napoli and West Ham in Mainoo. West Ham have reportedly inquired about the possibility of loaning both Zirkzee and Mainoo to provide them with more playing opportunities and potentially boost their chances of making it to the World Cup.

However, Manchester United is currently not entertaining any negotiations, with no progress being made on this front. The situation remains unchanged for now.
