MLS Commissioner Suggests Mohamed Salah Speak with Leo Messi and Thomas Müller About MLS

The relationship between Mohamed Salah and Arne Slot, Liverpool’s manager, has hit a rough patch recently, with signs pointing towards Salah not being a key player in the Reds’ future.

Slot left Salah out of the squad for Tuesday’s Champions League match against Inter in Milan (0-1). In response, Salah threatened not to return from the Africa Cup of Nations, a tournament he is set to leave for on Monday.

Once a regular starter for Liverpool, Salah has found himself on the bench in the last three games under Slot’s management. This sudden change led to Salah publicly expressing his frustration, questioning why he is being sidelined despite his contributions to the club.

After a conversation with Slot on Friday, Salah is back in the squad for the upcoming match against Brighton. However, his future at the club remains uncertain.

In light of this situation, MLS commissioner Don Garber has expressed interest in potentially bringing Salah to the North American league. During a recent gala where Lionel Messi received the MLS MVP award, Garber hinted at the possibility of Salah joining MLS and emphasized the league’s openness to welcoming him.

Garber even mentioned reaching out to Messi and Thomas Muller to get their perspective on playing in MLS, suggesting that they have embraced the opportunity and found success in the league.

Meanwhile, Wayne Rooney has criticized Salah’s actions, stating that he is jeopardizing his legacy at Liverpool.
