Napoli to permanently sign Rasmus Hojlund

Napoli have reportedly decided to make Rasmus Hojlund’s loan move permanent, as per Fabrizio Romano.

The Italian journalist revealed that Manchester United stand to benefit financially from this deal, with Hojlund initially joining Napoli on loan from the Red Devils in the summer of 2025.

Romano shared on his YouTube channel: “Great news for Man Utd as Napoli have indicated that they see the obligation to sign Rasmus Hojlund as a mere formality.

“It is expected to be completed in 2026. Despite previous reports suggesting Napoli’s financial constraints, this does not apply to the Hojlund deal.

“United will receive €50m from the transfer (€44m obligation + €6m loan fee), which is significant news. This influx of funds will enable them to make further investments in 2026, alongside potential earnings from the Jadon Sancho deal, Mason Greenwood’s sell-on clause, and the situation involving Marcus Rashford.

“Manchester United are set to receive a financial boost.”
