In the latest draw for the 2026 World Cup, Spain and France found themselves in tough groups, while England will have a chance for revenge against Croatia.
The tournament kicks off with Mexico facing South Africa, with South Korea also in Group A. The United States will take on Australia and Paraguay, while Canada will battle Switzerland and Haiti. All three host nations will face a winner from the UEFA Play-off routes.
European champions Spain, who are favored by the Opta supercomputer (17%), will face Uruguay, Saudi Arabia, and Cape Verde in Group H. France, the second favorites according to Opta, will have a challenging task in Group I against Norway, Senegal, and a team from the FIFA Play-off 2.
Argentina, the reigning champions and fourth favorites per Opta, start their defense against Algeria before facing Austria and Jordan. England will meet Croatia again in Group L, along with Ghana and Panama.
Ivory Coast will look to cause trouble for Germany in Group E, while Italy could join Group B if they win their play-off route.
