Manchester United legend Patrice Evra has heaped praise on former Juventus coach Max Allegri, who was recently sacked by the Italian club. Evra, who played under Allegri during his time at Juventus, revealed that agents have already been in contact with Manchester United about the possibility of Allegri joining the club.
Speaking about Allegri’s coaching abilities, Evra stated, “He has incredible flair, even more than Ferguson. Allegri always seems to know how a game will unfold even before it begins. I remember during the Champions League round of 16 in 2015 against Dortmund, he predicted everything. It was crazy.”
Evra also shared an interesting insight into Allegri’s approach to matches. He said, “Before that game, he told us it was just a friendly. However, a few days earlier, when we were playing against Genoa, he was yelling at us as if it were a Champions League final. Allegri is obsessed with lesser games and doesn’t seem to care about big matches.”
Intriguingly, former Juventus General Manager Jean-Claude Blanc is now working as an advisor to Manchester United through Ineos. This connection could potentially facilitate Allegri’s move to the English club.
With Allegri’s impressive track record and Evra’s glowing endorsement, it remains to be seen if Manchester United will make a move for the highly-regarded coach.
