Third goalkeeper of Manchester City expelled from celebration party!

Manchester City’s third-choice goalkeeper, Scott Carson, had a memorable celebration after clinching the Premier League title on the final day of the season. The 38-year-old shot-stopper was reportedly kicked out of the champions’ party at a Manchester nightclub in the early hours of the morning for getting into a scuffle with another partygoer, according to Mail Sport.

Details surrounding the incident are still scarce, but it is known that the party was attended by all members of the club and their families. Carson, who joined City from Derby County in 2019, has become a beloved figure in Pep Guardiola’s squad. Regular starter Ederson has praised him for his humility, calling him a role model with an incredible personality.

Carson’s role as the third-choice goalkeeper has been clear from the start. He rarely sees playing time, so his main responsibility is to support and mentor the younger players while fostering a positive atmosphere in the dressing room. Guardiola has always recognized Carson’s leadership qualities, stating that he is highly respected by everyone.

Since joining Manchester City in 2019, Carson has only played a total of 107 minutes for the club. His first and only start came on May 14, 2021, when Guardiola decided to give him a chance in a league game against Newcastle. City emerged victorious with a 4-3 scoreline, thanks to a hat-trick from Ferran Torres.

Carson’s other 17 minutes on the pitch came in the Champions League during a round of 16 second leg in 2022. With City comfortably leading 5-0 on aggregate against Sporting CP, Guardiola substituted Ederson for Carson in the 73rd minute to give him his debut in Europe’s top club competition. The match ended in a goalless draw.

During Carson’s five seasons at Manchester City, the team has won an impressive 11 titles, including four Premier League titles, one Champions League trophy, one FA Cup, two League Cups, one European Super Cup, one Club World Cup, and one Community Shield.

In the club’s annual documentaries, Carson receives high praise from his teammates, who appreciate his experience and leadership qualities. Despite his limited playing time, he has made a significant impact behind the scenes and contributed to the success of the team.
