Earps’ Sensational Transformation Since Joining PSG from Man Utd

Mary Earps, the talented goalkeeper, has spoken out about her decision to leave Manchester United for Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) and how it has positively impacted her both on and off the pitch. Earps made the move to the French side on a free transfer last July, after spending five years with the Red Devils in the Women’s Super League.

The 32-year-old expressed her desire to step out of her comfort zone and take her game to another level. Despite PSG currently sitting second in the Premiere Ligue table, 10 points behind leaders Lyon, and being eliminated in the second round of the Women’s Champions League, Earps has been in fine form. She has kept seven clean sheets in the French top flight, matching her final season at United. Additionally, she has only conceded 12 goals at an average of 0.71 per game, a significant improvement compared to last season’s 32 goals at an average of 1.45 per game.

Leaving Manchester United was not an easy decision for Earps, but she firmly believes it was the right one. In an interview with Pitch to Pod, she explained that she wanted to challenge herself and learn in a different way. She acknowledged that people may think it was a simple decision, but it was far from it. After spending five years at United and experiencing great success there, leaving was a difficult choice.

However, Earps is grateful that she had the courage to make the move. She can feel a massive difference in herself both on and off the pitch since joining PSG. She is constantly learning and enjoying the challenges that come with playing for a different club.

Currently on international duty with the Lionesses, Earps will be looking to continue her impressive form as they resume their Nations League campaign with matches against Belgium. The team is currently second in Group 3, having accumulated four points from their first two matches.

Overall, Earps’ decision to leave Manchester United for Paris Saint-Germain has proven to be a wise one. She has grown as a player and is relishing the new experiences and challenges that come with playing for a different club.
