Napoli face tough Bologna test as injury-hit Inter play Parma

Napoli will face a tough challenge in their pursuit of Serie A leaders Inter when they take on in-form Bologna in their final game of Matchday 31. Bologna have won their last five league games, making them a formidable opponent for Antonio Conte’s side. However, Napoli have a strong record against Bologna, having not lost in nine of their last 10 league matches against them. They have also scored the most goals against Bologna in Serie A and have won 50 of their 131 league matches against them. Despite this, Bologna’s recent form suggests that Napoli will have to work hard for a victory.

Bologna’s recent success has been impressive, with the team winning their last five league games. This is only the fourth time in their history that they have recorded such a streak in Serie A. They have also scored the most goals in the league this season and have picked up the second-highest number of points. This makes them a dangerous opponent for Napoli.

Napoli will be boosted by the return of midfielder Scott McTominay, who missed their last game due to illness. Frank Anguissa is also back to full fitness, giving Conte a nearly full-strength squad to choose from. The only absentee is injured defender Leonardo Spinazzola.

Meanwhile, Inter will be keeping a close eye on their match against Parma, as they have several key players dealing with injuries. Denzel Dumfries is expected to be out for an extended period after suffering a setback in his recovery from a hamstring injury. Lautaro Martinez, Federico Dimarco, and Marko Arnautovic are also doubts for the game. Inter will need to manage their squad carefully as they have important fixtures coming up, including a two-legged Champions League quarter-final tie against Bayern Munich.

Inter have a strong record against Parma, having gone unbeaten in their last six league matches against them. The last time Parma won against Inter in Serie A was in September 2018. Inter have also won their last two league games against Parma and will be looking to continue this winning streak.

Parma, however, have been enjoying a revival under Cristian Chivu, going unbeaten in four of their five Serie A games under his management. This is as many times as they managed in their previous 13 league games under Fabio Pecchia. The history between Parma and Inter at the Tardini Stadium is balanced, with seven wins each and four draws in the 18 matches played since 2000. However, Inter have won the last three away matches against Parma in the league.

Atalanta suffered a setback in their pursuit of the Serie A crown with a 1-0 defeat to Fiorentina in their last game. Manager Gian Piero Gasperini admitted that the title race was over for his side, but they will be looking to bounce back against Lazio. Atalanta have a strong record against Lazio, having won 38 of their 113 matches against them in Serie A. This is a joint-record for Atalanta in terms of wins in the competition. However, goals might be hard to come by, as Atalanta have failed to score in their last three home league games.

Juventus will be playing their second match under new head coach Igor Tudor when they face Roma. Roma have been in good form, winning their last seven league games. This is only the fourth time in their history that they have won eight or more matches in a row in Serie A. They have also kept a clean sheet in six of their last seven league games, showing their defensive strength.

Milan will host Fiorentina in a mid-table clash. Both teams are looking to rediscover their form for the final part of the campaign. Fiorentina will start the match with more points in the Serie A table, a position they haven’t been in since December 2017. Milan, on the other hand, have recorded four defeats in their last six Serie A games, which is the first time they have had such a run under a single manager since 2019. Despite this, Milan have a good record against Fiorentina at the San Siro, having won their last four league matches against them.
