De Bruyne to depart Manchester City

The era of Kevin De Bruyne at Manchester City is coming to an end. The Belgian footballer has officially announced that he will be leaving the club at the end of the current season. After a remarkable 10-year spell as a star player for the ‘sky blue’ team, De Bruyne will depart as a free agent.

In his statement, De Bruyne declared, “These will be my last months as a Manchester City player.” Since joining the club in 2015, he has achieved great success, winning 16 trophies and directly contributing to 280 goals. He holds the record for being the best assist provider in Premier League history.

The 33-year-old midfielder joined City in a transfer worth over 60 million euros from Wolfsburg. After struggling to find opportunities at Chelsea, he established himself as one of the Premier League’s greatest stars, but this time in the north of England rather than London.

De Bruyne’s impressive record includes winning the Champions League against Inter, as well as six Premier League titles, two FA Cups, and five League Cups.

In his farewell statement to City, De Bruyne expressed his gratitude to the club, the city, and its people. He acknowledged that it was time to say goodbye and thanked everyone for their support during his 10-year journey. Manchester will always hold a special place in his heart and the hearts of his family.

As for his future, there have been rumors of a multi-million dollar offer from Saudi Arabia. ‘Sky Sports’ reports that De Bruyne is in talks with Saudi Arabian second division side Neom SC, a club that is set to be promoted to the top flight this year. These talks are described as “serious” and “positive”. Additionally, there is speculation about a potential move to MLS and the ‘new’ San Diego FC.

The soccer world awaits De Bruyne’s next move with anticipation.
