Shaw urges Man Utd to change after Europa League loss

Manchester United left-back Luke Shaw has admitted that the club is currently at “rock bottom” following their defeat to Tottenham in the Europa League final. The Red Devils, who were previously unbeaten in European competition, suffered a 1-0 loss to Spurs after Brennan Johnson’s scrappy goal just before half-time.

This defeat marks United’s 20th loss of the season, their highest number since 1973-74 when they were relegated from the top-flight. The team has also struggled in major European finals recently, failing to win four out of their last five.

Shaw expressed his disappointment with the season, stating that the team’s performance has been “nowhere near good enough.” Despite their current 16th place in the Premier League, Shaw believes that the only way is up for the club.

The defender also voiced his support for manager Ruben Amorim, insisting that he is the right person to lead the team back to success. Shaw emphasized the need for change and improvement within the squad.

Fellow player Diogo Dalot echoed Shaw’s sentiments, acknowledging that the season has been a “disaster.” He stressed the importance of self-reflection and improvement in order to meet the high expectations of the club and its fans.

As United look to regroup and rebuild for the future, both Shaw and Dalot are determined to work hard and make the necessary changes to bring the club back to its former glory.
