Rooney: Salah Ruining Legacy at Liverpool

Wayne Rooney has once again taken aim at Mohamed Salah, claiming that the Egyptian is “destroying his legacy” at Anfield. The former Manchester United striker criticized Salah for publicly stating that he felt mistreated by the club and that his relationship with coach Arne Slot is broken.

Salah, 33, has not started three games and expressed his frustration after a recent match against Leeds. Rooney, on his podcast, called for Slot to show authority and suggested that Salah should not be included in the squad until the situation is resolved.

Rooney highlighted Salah’s impressive statistics since joining Liverpool in 2017, but criticized his recent behavior and comments. The Englishman believes that Salah’s actions have created a negative environment within the team.

Liverpool’s poor performance this season has added to the tension, with the team currently sitting ninth in the league. Salah’s form has also dipped, with the striker scoring fewer goals compared to last season.

This is not the first time Rooney has criticized Salah, as he previously questioned the Egyptian’s commitment to defending. Despite Salah’s individual accolades, Rooney believes that his recent behavior is unacceptable.

As speculation grows over Salah’s future at Liverpool, it remains to be seen whether he will be included in the squad for the upcoming match against Inter Milan. The club is reportedly discussing the situation internally, with Slot expected to address the media to provide clarity.
