Everton manager Sean Dyche has provided an update on the club’s ongoing takeover situation, revealing that it is currently in a holding pattern. Despite the lack of progress, Dyche assured fans that there is a flurry of activity happening behind the scenes.
Dyche stated, “Nothing more than I have said all along. There’s a lot of news out there, until I’m told, factually, any different then nothing changes from my point of view.”
He emphasized that the process is not as straightforward as many might think. “There’s a lot going on. I think we have spoken on this subject before. It’s not just as simple as ‘the club is up and running, buy it’. I don’t think it’s that situation.”
The manager highlighted the complexities involved, including the development of a new stadium and the intricate financial aspects. He also acknowledged the importance of securing Premier League status, which Everton achieved last season. All these factors contribute to the length of time required for a potential takeover.
Dyche concluded, “I don’t know if all of those points are necessary but I’d imagine there’s a lot of detail that goes into buying this football club and that would take some time.”
While Everton fans eagerly await further developments, it seems they will have to be patient as the takeover process continues to unfold.
