Red Bulls stun Revs with comeback win in MLS

The New York Red Bulls pulled off an incredible comeback to defeat the New England Revolution 5-3 in a thrilling match.

In a second-half surge, Eric Maxim Choupo-Moting and Emil Forsberg each scored twice to secure the victory for the Red Bulls.

Despite falling behind 2-0 early on, the Red Bulls fought back with goals from Choupo-Moting and Forsberg. New England’s Leonardo Campana and Kyle Duncan had given the Revolution the lead, but Daniel Edelman’s goal kickstarted the Red Bulls’ comeback.

Choupo-Moting and Forsberg continued their impressive form, with Choupo-Moting scoring a brace and Forsberg sealing the win with a penalty. Campana managed to grab a consolation goal for New England, but it was too little, too late.

In another exciting match, the Colorado Rapids staged a remarkable comeback to draw 3-3 with the Seattle Sounders.

Albert Rusnak’s two goals had put Seattle 3-0 up, but quickfire penalties from Djordje Mihailovic and Cole Bassett, followed by Darren Yapi’s goal, secured a point for the Rapids.

Meanwhile, Denis Bouanga made history for Los Angeles FC as they defeated Minnesota United 1-0. Bouanga’s goal marked his 20th game-winning goal for LAFC, surpassing Carlos Vela’s previous record.

With the win, LAFC closed the gap on Minnesota in the Western Conference standings. The Vancouver Whitecaps also climbed above Minnesota following their 3-0 win over the Houston Dynamo.

In other matches, San Diego FC suffered a surprising 1-0 defeat to Toronto FC.

The Red Bulls’ Choupo-Moting extended his scoring streak at home to five games, while Colorado’s comeback against Seattle highlighted their resilience on the road.

As the season progresses, these results could prove crucial in the race for playoff spots.
