Amorim happy with competitive Man Utd before Europa League final

Ruben Amorim was optimistic despite Manchester United’s 1-0 loss to Chelsea, seeing it as a competitive performance ahead of the Europa League final. The defeat came from Marc Cucurella’s header, but United had their chances, with Harry Maguire’s goal disallowed and Mason Mount missing narrowly. Amad Diallo also tested Robert Sanchez.

United’s struggles continued, with 18 league defeats this season, the most since 1973-74. They haven’t won in eight league games, their worst run since 1989-90. Amorim has lost three consecutive league matches twice, one less than Alex Ferguson in his entire tenure.

Despite the stats, Amorim remained positive for the Europa League final against Tottenham. He praised the team’s effort and preparation, emphasizing the importance of rest and recovery before the big game. The pressure is on, but Amorim is confident in his team’s ability to perform when it matters most.
