Arsenal are on the hunt for a new striker this summer, and they’re aiming high. According to the Independent, their top priority is Newcastle United’s centre-forward Alexander Isak. However, the Gunners are aware that Newcastle might not be willing to sell.
In case the Isak deal falls through, Arsenal has a backup plan in place. They have set their sights on Brian Brobbey, a 22-year-old striker who has been impressing since his return to Ajax. Brobbey has been in fine form, scoring 22 goals and providing twelve assists in 43 competitive games this season.
But if neither Isak nor Brobbey can be secured, Arsenal has another option in mind. Viktor Gyökeres, a 25-year-old Sweden international, has been performing exceptionally well for Sporting CP. However, there are rumors that his club might demand a hefty €100m fee for his transfer.
It seems Arsenal is determined to strengthen their attacking options and is willing to explore multiple avenues to secure a top-class striker. The Gunners’ fans will be eagerly awaiting any developments in their pursuit of Isak, Brobbey, or Gyökeres.
