Tottenham’s latest signing, Lucas Bergvall, has opened up about his conflicting emotions as he prepares to join the club. The 18-year-old midfielder will be playing his final game for Djurgarden next week, and he admits that accepting this reality hasn’t been easy.
Speaking to Svenskafans’ Forum 1891, Bergvall said, “At times, it can be difficult to accept that fact. I don’t know if I’ve fully grasped it yet. I’ve been trying to stay focused on Djurgården.”
However, with his move to Tottenham just around the corner, it’s becoming increasingly challenging for Bergvall not to think about it. He confessed, “Now that it’s so close, it’s hard not to have it on my mind. I’m incredibly excited and a little nervous, which is only natural.”
Bergvall also expressed mixed feelings about leaving his current team behind. “It feels sad to leave them here at home,” he admitted. “But at the same time, playing in the Premier League has been my dream since I was a kid. So, it’s a bittersweet situation.”
