Chiesa may depart Liverpool for Fiorentina.

Fiorentina have set their sights on Liverpool’s Federico Chiesa as a potential signing in the upcoming January transfer window, as reported by Fichajes. The Italian club is believed to be the frontrunner in securing the services of the winger, should Liverpool decide to offload him midway through the season.

Chiesa made the move to Liverpool from Juventus in the summer of 2024. However, the 27-year-old has struggled with injuries during his time at the Premier League club, which has hindered his impact on the pitch. So far this season, Chiesa has only managed to accumulate 18 minutes of playing time in the Premier League, one minute in the UEFA Champions League, and 104 minutes in the Carabao Cup.

While Liverpool has been linked with Nottingham Forest midfielder Elliot Anderson, they currently sit comfortably at the top of the Premier League table with 45 points from 18 matches. They hold a six-point lead over second-placed Arsenal, who have played one more game. On the other hand, Fiorentina finds themselves in fifth place in the Serie A table, with 32 points from 17 games. They trail fourth-placed Lazio by three points, with Lazio having played one additional game.

In conclusion, Fiorentina’s interest in Federico Chiesa could potentially lead to a transfer in the January window. Liverpool’s decision to part ways with the winger would provide Fiorentina with an opportunity to bolster their squad as they aim to climb up the Serie A standings.
