Ex-Premier League referee sentenced to nine years for raping man

In a shocking turn of events, former Premier League assistant referee Steven Wilson, who went by the name Stephen Dorr, has been sentenced to nine years in prison for raping a man back in 2009 in Worcester, England.

The 55-year-old ex-referee lured a stranger from a taxi rank to his apartment under false pretenses of a party with “lots of girls,” only to trap and assault him for hours.

The victim, terrified and fearing for his safety, was finally able to identify Wilson from a newspaper article about his past sexual offenses and reported him to the authorities in 2021.

Wilson’s dark history includes a previous conviction in 2009 for downloading indecent images and communicating with minors, which ultimately led to the end of his refereeing career.

Described as “cunning and manipulative” by the judge at Worcester Crown Court, Wilson’s heinous actions have rightfully landed him behind bars once again.
