Jeglertz to become Man City head coach post Euros

Manchester City have officially appointed Andree Jeglertz as their new head coach. The experienced coach is currently leading Denmark through Euro 2025 but will make the move to the Women’s Super League club once the tournament concludes.

The decision to bring in Jeglertz comes after City parted ways with Gareth Taylor during the 2024-25 season due to a lack of title challenge. Nick Cushing stepped in as an interim replacement before Jeglertz was announced as the permanent solution.

Jeglertz has been at the helm of the Denmark national team since September 2023, boasting a win rate of 59.1% with 13 wins in 22 games (D1 L8). During his tenure, his team has scored 41 goals and conceded 30.

In a statement to City’s media channels, Jeglertz expressed his excitement about joining the club and meeting the players, staff, and fans. He is determined to take City to the next level and continue their journey of playing attractive and winning football.

The Swedish coach has previous success in women’s football, having won the UEFA Women’s Cup with Umea in 2004. City, who finished fourth in the WSL last season, narrowly missed out on Champions League qualification by just one point.

With Jeglertz now at the helm, City fans will be eager to see how he can lead the team to success in the upcoming season.
