The agent of Lazio goalkeeper Christos Mandas has revealed that interest in his client is coming from abroad. Mandas has recently been linked with Manchester City and Manchester United.
Agent Diego Tavano stated, “We need to sit down and talk to Lazio about reviewing the contract, because it was all done very quickly and with the idea that he was the third choice goalkeeper. Now he is second choice, but he has already proven that he can stand in for Provedel. We will certainly need to discuss it. There is also interest from abroad and we’ll talk about it with the club.”
Tavano also expressed his belief that Lazio President Claudio Lotito will not hold back on renewing Mandas’ contract and may even propose an extension. He described Mandas as a talented player who was signed at a very accessible price.
The future of Mandas remains uncertain, but it seems that there are options for the young goalkeeper both domestically and internationally. It will be interesting to see how negotiations between Lazio and Mandas’ representatives unfold in the coming weeks.
