Silva warns Man City, says Fulham boss

Fulham manager Marco Silva is confident that his team will give Manchester City a tough test in today’s early kickoff. Silva acknowledges that Fulham has performed better this season against teams higher up in the table.

“In the previous season, even during our incredible run, I was often questioned – and rightly so – about our performances against teams below us in the table,” Silva admitted.

“We only managed to win against one top side and struggled to get results against the teams above us. However, this season we have made progress in this aspect and have become a difficult team to play against.

“Even last season, we were a tough team to face, but we didn’t achieve the desired results. This season has been different, as we have secured some excellent results and put in great performances against the top sides in the Premier League.

“It’s another great challenge for us because Manchester City demands a lot from you. They possess the ability to dominate possession like no other team in the world, which can be frustrating for the opposition.

“Their style of play requires a lot of energy, both physically and emotionally. We prefer to have possession ourselves, so if you ask me if I would like to have more of the ball than them, my answer would be a resounding yes.

“However, it won’t be easy due to their playing style and approach to games. That’s why this match will require us to be resilient. We need to show good organization defensively and offensively, while also being clinical and ruthless in order to match them and fight for a positive result.”
