Kyle Walker has expressed his desire to win a trophy with Tottenham, even if it means giving up one of the Premier League titles he won with Manchester City. The defender, who left Spurs in 2017 for a reported £50m deal, has since lifted 17 major honours with the Citizens, including six Premier League titles and a Champions League.
Having joined Tottenham in 2009 from Sheffield United, Walker made 229 appearances for the club before departing. Despite coming close to a trophy with Spurs in the 2014-15 season, losing the EFL Cup final to Chelsea, he finally saw his former team end their 17-year wait for silverware by winning the Europa League final against Manchester United.
In a recent episode of the Kyle Walker Podcast, the 35-year-old expressed his admiration for Tottenham’s triumph, stating that he would give up one of his Premier League titles to have been part of that historic moment. He also praised former teammate Son Heung-min for his journey to success with the club.
Walker’s future at Manchester City remains uncertain after being left out of their Club World Cup squad and spending the second half of the season on loan at AC Milan. With one year left on his contract, rumors suggest that Turkish side Fenerbahce, managed by Jose Mourinho, are interested in signing the defender.
