Wealthiest player injured: Nearly 20 billion euro footballer

Faiq Bolkiah, the world’s richest footballer with a staggering wealth of over 18.698 billion euros as the nephew of the Sultan of Brunei, has found himself in the hospital after suffering a leg injury during a Thai Premier League match.

The millionaire nephew of the Sultan of Brunei, who has previously played in Europe for Maritimo (Portugal), Leicester City (England), Southampton (England), and Chelsea (England), is currently plying his trade for Thai club Ratchaburi.

Bolkiah, 25, sustained the injury after coming on as a half-time substitute in Ratchaburi’s clash against Police Tero at Boonyachinda Stadium.

Ratchaburi chairman, Tanawat Nitikanchana, expressed his sadness over Bolkiah’s condition, stating, “Today is the saddest day. My brother, Prince Faiq Jefri Bolkiah, was injured while playing for us.”

In an attempt to uplift Bolkiah’s spirits, the Ratchaburi boss sent a heartfelt message of encouragement, saying, “I know you must be in shock and in great pain right now, but know that we will be with you every step of the way until you are back in the dragon shirt and scoring goals for us again. Although you have only been with us for eight months, I am sure that everyone at the club and the fans love you. We’ll be waiting for the day when you come back stronger than ever, lad.”
