Tajon Buchanan Completes Permanent Move to Villarreal

In a transfer move that has been eagerly anticipated by fans, Tajon Buchanan has officially joined Villarreal on a permanent deal from Inter. The 26-year-old winger had a successful loan spell with the LaLiga side last season, making 13 appearances and contributing with a goal and two assists.

Buchanan, who previously played for the New England Revolution in MLS and had a stint with Club Brugge in Belgium, has also been a key player for the Canadian national team. He featured in all three of Canada’s matches at the 2022 World Cup and recently scored three goals in their CONCACAF Gold Cup campaign.

Having won the Serie A title with Inter in 2023-24, Buchanan is now looking forward to a new chapter with Villarreal. In a statement to the club’s media channels, he expressed his excitement about playing in the Champions League and his determination to showcase his best form on the biggest stage.

With a five-year contract in hand, Buchanan will immediately join Villarreal’s pre-season training camp as they prepare for the upcoming campaign. Fans can expect to see him back in action soon, ready to make an impact for the Yellow Submarine in both domestic and European competitions.
