Carragher urges Casemiro to retire before it’s too late

Liverpool legend Jamie Carragher has voiced his opinion on the future of Manchester United midfielder Casemiro, suggesting that the Brazilian should consider leaving the club at the end of the season. Carragher’s comments came after Casemiro’s lackluster performance during United’s defeat to Crystal Palace on Monday night.

During a halftime analysis, Carragher expressed his belief that Casemiro should be substituted by United manager Ten Hag. The former Liverpool defender went on to suggest that Casemiro, as an experienced player, should only have three more games at the highest level before considering a move to either Major League Soccer (MLS) or Saudi Arabia.

Carragher’s words were strong and direct, emphasizing the need for Casemiro to recognize his current limitations. He highlighted the midfielder’s past achievements, playing alongside the likes of Toni Kroos and Luka Modric in one of the best midfields of modern times. Carragher also mentioned the potential clash between Casemiro and Barcelona’s formidable midfield.

Drawing from his own experience as a retired footballer, Carragher shared a saying that stuck with him throughout his career: “Leave football before football leaves you.” He urged Casemiro to finish his time at the top level of football and gracefully move on to the next chapter of his career.

Carragher’s comments reflect his admiration for Casemiro’s past accomplishments but also his concern for the player’s current form. The Liverpool hero believes that it is crucial for Casemiro to make the right decision for his future and not let football pass him by.
