Football agent threatens Tottenham player at gunpoint in London

Tottenham left-back Destiny Udogie has found himself in a troubling situation after allegedly being threatened with a gun in north London earlier this month. The Metropolitan Police have taken action, arresting a 31-year-old man connected to player representation. The suspect has been released on bail as investigations continue.

The incident took place on September 6 in Cockfosters Parade, with another young man also coming forward with claims of threats and attempted extortion by the same individual. The suspect faces charges of possession of a firearm with intent to cause fear, extortion, and driving without a license.

Reports suggest that the altercation could be linked to Udogie’s decision to not work with the agent involved. Tottenham has expressed their support for the player and his family, refraining from further comment due to the ongoing legal proceedings.

Despite the off-field turmoil, Udogie has remained focused on his football, featuring in Tottenham’s recent European fixture against Copenhagen, which ended in a 4-0 victory. The full-back’s commitment to the team has not wavered amidst the off-pitch drama.
