Managerless Southampton win, Norwich end losing streak

Southampton secured a crucial 2-1 victory over QPR in their first game post-Will Still’s departure. Interim manager Tonda Eckert guided the Saints to their first win since September, with Jay Robinson and Leo Scienza finding the back of the net.

Despite Rumarn Burrell pulling one back for QPR, they couldn’t find an equalizer late in the game. Norwich City halted their six-game losing streak with a draw against Sheffield Wednesday, leaving the Owls rooted to the bottom of the table.

Preston North End climbed to fourth place with a 2-1 win over Swansea City, while Wrexham extended their unbeaten run with a 0-0 draw against Portsmouth. Southampton’s away day triumph at Loftus Road marked their fifth consecutive win against QPR.

Sheffield Wednesday’s struggles continued as they squandered a lead once again, while Norwich’s Liam Manning faces pressure after failing to secure a win against Wednesday in eight league meetings. The Championship continues to provide thrilling action as teams battle for points.
